Exact Take Home is designed to be a privacy-first paycheck calculator. We built the calculator so that your pay, filing status, deductions, location, and other calculator inputs are processed directly in your web browser. Your calculator inputs are not sent to our servers, stored in a database, attached to an account, or used to identify you.

We do not require accounts, logins, passwords, or user profiles. We do not ask you to submit your name, email address, Social Security number, employer details, payroll records, or other personally identifying information to use the calculator.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Exact Take Home does not collect or store:

• Your salary, hourly wage, bonus, or other compensation inputs
• Your filing status, dependents, deductions, or withholding choices
• Your ZIP code, city, state, or local tax selections as personal records
• Your name, email address, phone number, employer, or payroll provider
• Your Social Security number or tax identification number
• Account credentials, because Exact Take Home does not provide accounts or logins

All paycheck calculations happen locally in your browser. When you refresh the page or close your browser, Exact Take Home does not retain your calculator entries on our servers.

2. Analytics

Exact Take Home may use privacy-friendly website analytics, such as Plausible Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics, to understand general usage patterns and improve the website.

These analytics are used only to answer basic product questions such as which pages are visited, which calculator pages are most useful, and whether the website is loading properly. We do not use Google Analytics.

Our analytics setup is intended to avoid tracking individuals. We do not use analytics cookies, cross-site tracking, advertising identifiers, or persistent user profiles. Analytics data is aggregated and used to improve site reliability, performance, and content quality.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Exact Take Home does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or behavioral advertising trackers.

We do not use Facebook Pixel, Google Ads tags, TikTok Pixel, or similar advertising tracking tools. If we use cookies or local browser storage in the future for optional site functionality, we will update this Privacy Policy and explain what is stored and why.

4. Calculator Data

The numbers you enter into the calculator are used only by your browser to estimate take-home pay. The calculator logic runs client-side, which means the calculation happens on your device rather than on Exact Take Home servers.

Because this information is not transmitted to us, we cannot view, sell, share, retrieve, correct, or delete calculator entries from our systems. We intentionally designed Exact Take Home this way to reduce privacy risk.

5. Third-Party Services

Exact Take Home may rely on infrastructure and privacy-friendly analytics providers to operate the website. These providers may process limited technical information needed to deliver web pages, protect the service, and measure site performance.

Examples may include:

• Website hosting or content delivery services
• Privacy-friendly analytics services
• Security and performance monitoring tools

We do not permit these services to use calculator inputs for advertising or individual profiling.

6. Advertising

Exact Take Home does not use advertising tracking pixels or behavioral ad networks. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If Exact Take Home later introduces sponsorships, affiliate links, or advertising, we will update this Privacy Policy before using any technology that materially changes how data is collected or processed.

7. GDPR and CCPA/CPRA Privacy Rights

Exact Take Home is designed around data minimization. Because the calculator does not collect or store personal calculator inputs, many privacy rights requests will not apply to calculator entries we never receive.

Where applicable privacy laws provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, we will honor those rights for any personal information we actually maintain. If we do not have personal information about you, we will explain that we cannot identify a record to access, correct, or delete.

California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act. European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Swiss users may have rights under applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR. Exact Take Home does not sell personal information and does not use sensitive personal information for profiling.

8. Children's Privacy

Exact Take Home is intended for general informational use by adults and working-age users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it if applicable.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the website. However, no website, browser, or internet transmission is completely secure. Exact Take Home reduces risk by avoiding the collection and storage of sensitive paycheck inputs.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our website, analytics provider, legal requirements, or business practices. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
